Brooches are an important accessory for the Fall and Winter. Since conventional jewelry (like bracelets and necklaces) are often concealed by long sleeves and high necks, a brooch can be the main adornment of any outfit. This one is feminine without being too ‘precious’ and stylish without being too stylized.
Lucite is often used as a light or shatter-resistant alternative to glass. I find it most useful as a wood alternative and space saver.
Wood is the ubiquitous material for furniture- tables, chairs, dressers, beds, consoles, wood dominates this particular market. But a room full of wood is boring, so I am always looking for and championing different materials. Lucite, mainly as tables and accessories, is an ideal, inexpensive and modern way to start peeking out from underneath a mountain of wood.
